hide all layers but what you want to print
file->print
black
printer...
print to file
change filename for each layer, i.e. tsilk.ps

pstoedit -ssp tsilk.ps tsilk.svg
open all of the .svg's in inkscape and extract the relevant part
panelize in inkscape?
