ProbeBuddy makes probing easy!!

how to install:
export emc2dir=/usr/local/share/emc2
sudo cp ProbeBuddy.tcl  $emc2dir/tcl/scripts/
cp probe.var to <your config dir>/*.var
sudo cp probebuddy.ngc  $emc2dir/nc_files/
sudo cp probe-buddy.gif  $emc2dir/

apparently a lot of things have changed in the directory structure 
between 2.0.3 and today's cvs head (approx 2.1.0 on 10/10/06)
so, this means it will only work for cvs run-in-place because i'm lazy

known bugs:
abort doesnt work because emc_run hogs the show. workaround: click abort 
in tkemc (or your favorite gui)

emc goes into an infinite loop if start and end are both zero. there's 
no sanity checking on user-supplied values at all.

if it can't find the nc_files directory, it just runs whatever program 
you have open, which is potentially dangerous. (and wrong)

inkscape wont open my @#%(^! svg file!!
